Green Shadows
Welcome to the Green Shadows Initiative by Annapradokshana Charitable Trust. Our mission is to make India greener and more sustainable by planting 10 million native trees. We invite you to join us in this transformative journey.

Green Shadows Initiative
Our team of experts in forestry, agroforestry, and climate change action will guide us over the next five years. The first step involves training self-help groups to identify native tree species. We are establishing nurseries in one city initially, with plans to expand nationwide.
During the non-plantation season (October to May), we nurture saplings in these nurseries. The mass plantation begins during the monsoon (June–September) and late winter (January–February). Our Green Shadows volunteers, farmers, NGOs, schoolchildren, and the public play a crucial role in planting these saplings.
We have successfully executed mass plantation drives, such as the Akira Miyawaki Forest Projects, covering two cities and planting 10,000 trees. Our volunteers and partnering organizations have been instrumental in these successes.
Our journey has just begun, and we need your support. By contributing to our cause, you become part of a movement combating deforestation, promoting biodiversity, and mitigating climate change..
Whether you are a corporate entity looking for meaningful CSR partnerships or an individual donor passionate about environmental conservation, your support can make a significant impact. Join us in creating a sustainable future for India by planting trees that will thrive for generations.
At Green Shadows, we believe in the power of individuals and organizations to make a positive impact on the environment. Our donation and gifting program involve you directly in our mission to plant 10 million native trees across India. Here is how you can contribute and make a lasting difference:
